    Temporarily installs LANDesk On–Demand Remote Control. Remote control sessions are initiated by the user to allow SOMTech staff to connect to your computer. You can end the connection at any time. Once the session is ended the software automatically uninstalls itself.

    Epocrates RX is a free drug and formulary reference. It contains important information on over 3,300 brand and generic drugs.
  • Skyscape’s 5-Minute Clinical Consult
    Skyscape’s 5-Minute Clinical Consult provides the user with quick reference and on-the-spot facts for more than 1,000 medical and surgical conditions, as well as over 9,000 terms and medications to help the user locate the desired information quickly.
  • MedCalc
    MedCalc is a free and easy-to-use medical calculator designed for Palm OS and Windows Mobile based devices. It is designed for rapid calculation of common medical formulas and scores used in anesthesiology, pediatrics, emergency, intensive care and internal medicine. The program contains more than 80 formulas as well as bibliographic references and clinical tips.
  • Mobile Micromedex
    Mobile Micromedex contains a drug interaction tool as well as a formulary advisor. The drug interaction tool allows users to check up to 32 medications at once and receive detailed interaction warnings covering severity, documentation, onset, adverse effect, clinical management and probable mechanism. The formulary advisor provides access to formulary and drug cost information.
  • First Consult
    First Consult contains evidence-based primary care information designed to be used at point-of-care and tools for differential diagnosis, evaluation and management of medical conditions, patient education and procedures skills review. First Consult is available through VCU Libraries and is compatible with Windows Mobile and Palm platforms.
  • Google Maps Mobile
    Google maps mobile provides Google maps on your PDA and smartphone. Get real time traffic reports, detailed directions, satellite imagery, integrated search results and easily movable maps. Newer versions of Google maps come with a “Where am I?” feature, which will pinpoint the user’s location on some smartphones.
