 Deciding
on how you would like to pursue your career beyond medical school
is one of the most important steps you will undertake. You should
start thinking about how you will go about this during your first
year. We recommend that you use the AAMC
Careers in Medicine Website as a guide. We have also prepared a booklet for you, Exploring Career Options in Medicine which provides you with information about various specialties and subspecialties you might want to explore. For each area, there is a brief descriptioin of the specialty/subspecialty and contact information for faculty who would be happy to meet with you, talk about their work and arrange a shadowing experience so you may become better informed.
