Russell P. Seneca, M.D., F.A.C.S., F.C.C.M., is the Vice President of Academic Affairs for Inova Health System and as such is responsible for the educational, research, clinical and financial performance of the Academic Affairs program. In addition to his role as Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Seneca is also the Associate Dean of Medical Education for the VCU School of Medicine Inova Campus. As Associate Dean, Dr. Seneca functions as the chief administrative officer and oversees the undergraduate program at the VCU School of Medicine Inova Campus. He is responsible for defining decision making processes, developing detailed capital and operational budgets as well as curriculum development. Dr. Seneca holds professorial positions with Georgetown University and George Washington University in Washington, DC, and Virginia Commonwealth University.
Dr. Seneca received an undergraduate degree from Providence College in Rhode Island, his medical degree from Georgetown University and his EMBA from George Mason University.
