Ph.D. Programs

Financial Support

Well-qualified Ph.D. applicants may receive an offer of financial support in the form of an assistantship which typically includes a stipend/salary and the payment of all applicable tuition and fees on behalf of the student. The School of Medicine sets a foundation level of annual stipend /salary support currently at $27,000 which includes funds to defray the costs of health insurance; in addition annual tuition and fee costs of $12,534 (Virginia resident) or $24,813 (non-resident) are separately provided.

Ph.D., Master’s and Certificate students who are appropriately enrolled are eligible for Financial Aid. For more information contact the School of Medicine Financial Aid Office.
