Dean of Medicine, Dr. Jerome Strauss III, welcomes reunion attendess to Friday night’s All-Class reception at the Country Club of Virginia. Clarence Holland, M’62, was this year’s recipient of the medical school’s Caravati Service Award for his career of service to his patients, his community and the Commonwealth of Virginia. This year’s Reunion Weekend saw a new tradition instituted. Russ Evett represented the Class of 1957 and presented the Dean with a gift in support of student scholarships. So far, they have raised more than $18,000.

The Class of 1982 also supported student scholarships. Dick Hamrick, M’82, presented his class’ gift, which so far totals more than $12,600. Adam Schwarz has been chosen as this year’s MCV Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship* recipient. He is pictured with his father Maurice Schwarz, M’73, and George Burke, M’70.
