On the third Thursday of March, fourth-year students gathered with their friends to learn which residency programs to which they had been matched. With the busy schedules of third and fourth year, Match Day gives students a chance to catch up with friends. As students arrive, they drop $1 into the bucket. The money will go to the student whose name is called last. As Alison Rozmus and Michael Huppman arrive they drop $1 into the bucket. Isaac Wood, M’82, H’88, associate dean for student activities, calls the names of the students in random order.

As Jennifer Harris’ name is called, she goes forward to get the envelope that contains the information on the residency program to which she’s been matched. As Bradley Deaenbaugh’s name is called, he goes forward to get the envelope that contains the information on the residency program to which he’s been matched. Luis Roca accepts the envelope that contains his residency destination.
