Annually honors a medical school alumnus who is nationally recognized and acknowledged by leaders in the field of medicine as having made distinguished contributions to health care.

Caravati Service Award
Annually recognizes a medical school alumnus who has served the MCV Alumni Association, participated in activities of the School of Medicine and contributed to their local community.

Outstanding Basic Health Science Alumnus Award
Annually honors an alumnus of the Basic Health Sciences departments who is nationally recognized and acknowledged by leaders in the field of medicine as having made distinguished contributions to health care. Each year’s awardee is chosen by the basic health science departments on a rotating basis.
