Faculty Performance Evaluations
In order to standardize and streamline the annual faculty evaluation process, the School of Medicine Office of Faculty Affairs has developed a web-based faculty activity reporting and evaluation system [FARES]. The templates for faculty activity report and evaluation form were developed by the Faculty Portal Committee, which is chaired by Dr. PonJola Coney, Senior Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs, and has representations from clinical and basic science departments, the Dean’s Office, and MCV Physicians.
To facilitate the completion of the online report, data is pre-populated from existing systems such as Banner, InfoEd, and eCurriculum. SOM Faculty are required to complete the online activity report and performance plan using FARES.
