The New Faculty Orientation is conducted annually each fall and information and resources from that program are organized here to provide access throughout the year.

Annual New Faculty Orientation 2011 - Program Agenda

Program Description: This year's orientation is an opportunity for key leaders in the University to welcome our new faculty to VCU. This is also the time the School provides new faculty with information to ensure that they are knowledgeable about current resources available that will enhance their professional development and quality of life as faculty.  The program will be held August 31 in the new Molecular Medicine Research Building, located behind the Medical Sciences Building and next to Monument Church on Broad Street. The Orientation and reception will run from approximately 3:00 – 6:00 pm, with registration starting at 2:30 pm. Online registration is also available.

This event launches a schedule of programs and workshops that represent a broad spectrum of strategies and tools that will facilitate the new faculty's role in teaching, research and service. The Reception following the orientation program is an opportunity for new faculty to interact with each other, department chairs, and key leaders from the medical center and to provide resources of programs and opportunities at the School.
