Lactation Rooms
VCU provides four lactation rooms for faculty and staff to support women balancing their return to work with their needs as mothers of young children.

Monroe Park Campus
Lactation Room at The Well (VCU WELLness Resource Center)
The lactation room at The Well, 815 S. Cathedral Place, is open to all VCU students, faculty and staff who want to breast feed or pump. The room includes a glider chair with ottoman, free samples of breastfeeding supplies and peaceful music, and is available free of charge on a walk-in basis. The room is available during The Well’s office hours: Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. On Fridays, visitors should call for availability before 10 a.m. For more information, contact 828-6919.
James Branch Cabell Library, 901 Park Avenue, Room B11
The lactation room is open to all VCU students, faculty and staff who want to breastfeed or pump during the hours Cabell Library is open to the public. The room is located on the left between the two library staff restrooms after turning right upon exit from the elevator.
To unlock the door, check out an access control card for Room B11 from the Cabell Library circulation desk. The room is freshly painted and carpeted and includes a Medela Symphony pump, a comfortable chair, and a sink. Family friendly, unisex restrooms with diaper changing stations are also located the same floor. MCV Campus
Main Hospital, 1250 E. Marshall St., North 6, Room 121
This room is available to nursing mothers who are employees or visitors. It has Symphony Pumps, rocking chairs, privacy screens, bathrooms and an IPod docking station. It is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The room has been provided as a result of a grant from the Women’s Auxiliary at VCU Health System (VCUHS). Sanger Hall, 1101 E, Marshall St, Basement 1, Room B1-033B
This room is located behind the women’s rest room. The room is freshly painted and carpeted with a comfortable chair. It is open to all VCU students, faculty and staff who want to breast feed or pump. Sanger Hall is open M-F 7:30 – 6, and accessible other weekday hours and weekends with card access to Sanger and sign-in at the lobby information desk. VCU School of Nursing, 1100 E. Leigh St., 3rd floor, Room 3058

VCU Health System Family Care Center, 607 N. 10th Street
This room is located below the N Parking Deck, behind the MCV Campus bookstore. The Family Room, located in Room 153, is designed for those who want to breast feed or pump and contains a couch and comfortable chairs.
